Our Commitment to Responsible Gaming at Pocket Pokies Casino
At Pocket Pokies Casino, entertainment always comes first. Our platform offers 4,000+ games from more than 50 providers, but we know that for a small number of players, gambling can shift from a fun pastime into a genuine problem. That is why Pocket Pokies Casino responsible gambling is not a footnote in our terms and conditions — it is a core pillar of how we operate. This page explains the safer gambling tools we provide, how to recognise the warning signs of problem gambling, and where Australians can find professional gambling help, free of charge and around the clock.
Licensed by the Government of Curaçao, Pocket Pokies Casino builds player protection into every account. Whether you want to set deposit limits, take a short break with a cooling-off period, or activate full self-exclusion, the tools are available directly through your account settings or via our 24/7 live chat. Our message is simple: play responsibly, stay in control, and never let gambling become anything more than entertainment.
Understanding Problem Gambling
Gambling addiction rarely appears overnight. It usually develops gradually, which is why understanding the early warning signs is one of the most effective forms of gambling control. Pocket Pokies Casino encourages every member to review the indicators below honestly and regularly.
Financial Warning Signs
- Spending more money on pokies or table games than you can comfortably afford to lose
- Borrowing money, selling possessions or using credit to fund gambling
- Chasing losses — depositing again straight after a losing session to "win it back"
- Falling behind on rent, bills or other essential expenses because of gambling
- Hiding bank statements or being secretive about how much you spend
Emotional Warning Signs
- Feeling anxious, irritable or restless when you cannot gamble
- Gambling to escape stress, loneliness, boredom or depression
- Experiencing guilt or shame after a gaming session
- Thinking about gambling constantly, even during work or family time
Social Warning Signs
- Lying to family or friends about how often or how much you gamble
- Neglecting work, study or relationships in favour of gambling
- Withdrawing from hobbies and social activities you used to enjoy
- Arguments with loved ones triggered by your gambling behaviour
Self-Assessment: Are You Still in Control?
Ask yourself the following questions. Answering "yes" to two or more may indicate that your relationship with gambling needs attention, and we strongly encourage you to use the Pocket Pokies Casino safer gambling tools described below or contact a support service.
- Do you gamble with money set aside for essentials such as rent, food or bills?
- Have you ever tried to cut back on gambling and failed?
- Do you return another day to try to win back money you have lost?
- Have you lied to people close to you about your gambling?
- Do you feel stressed, guilty or depressed after gambling?
- Has gambling ever caused problems at home, at work or in your studies?
- Do you gamble for longer sessions than you originally planned?
- Have you borrowed money or sold anything to finance your play?
Pocket Pokies Casino Safer Gambling Tools
Effective responsible gaming starts with practical limits. Every Pocket Pokies Casino account includes a full suite of gambling control features that you can activate yourself in seconds. Once set, a limit reduction takes effect immediately, while a limit increase only applies after a 24-hour reflection delay — a deliberate safeguard that supports safe gambling.
| Tool | Options | What It Does |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limits | Daily / weekly / monthly | Caps the total amount you can deposit within the chosen period |
| Bet limits | Per spin or per bet | Restricts the maximum stake on any single wager |
| Loss limits | Daily / weekly / monthly | Stops play once your net losses reach your chosen threshold |
| Session limits | Minutes or hours per session | Automatically logs you out when your time is up, with on-screen reminders |
| Cooling-off period | 24h, 48h, 7 days, 30 days | Temporarily blocks access to your account for a short break |
| Self-exclusion | 6 months, 1 year, 5 years, permanent | Completely closes access to your account for the selected term |
Deposit, Loss and Session Limits
Setting deposit limits is the single most effective step towards safe gambling. Decide how much entertainment budget you can genuinely afford — treating any deposit as the cost of fun, never as an investment — and lock it in. Loss limits add a second safety net by halting play once a defined amount has been lost, while session limits ensure that time does not slip away unnoticed. Combined, these three tools give you comprehensive gambling control without spoiling the enjoyment of your favourite pokies.
Cooling-Off Period
Need a breather? The Pocket Pokies Casino cooling-off period suspends your account for 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days or 30 days. During this time you cannot deposit, wager or receive promotional material. It is a light-touch option ideal for players who feel their play is drifting but who do not require long-term exclusion.
Self-Exclusion
If gambling has stopped being fun, self-exclusion is the strongest measure available. Pocket Pokies Casino offers exclusion terms of 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or permanent closure. Once activated, your account is locked, you are removed from all marketing lists, and reactivation before the term expires is not possible. To arrange self-exclusion, use your account settings or email [email protected] with the subject line "Self-Exclusion". Our team processes these requests as an absolute priority.
Activity Monitoring
Your account dashboard provides a complete history of deposits, withdrawals, wagers and session durations. Reviewing this data regularly is a simple but powerful habit for anyone who wants to gamble responsibly, because it replaces gut feeling with hard numbers. Pocket Pokies Casino also monitors play patterns internally and may reach out to players whose behaviour suggests elevated risk — a proactive layer of player protection.
8 Golden Rules of Safe Gambling
Follow these principles every time you log in to Pocket Pokies Casino, and gambling will stay exactly what it should be — entertainment:
- Gamble only with money you can afford to lose. Never touch funds meant for essentials.
- Set your limits before you play, not after — deposit, loss and session limits are free and instant.
- Never chase losses. Losing is part of the game; the house edge cannot be beaten long-term.
- Treat gambling as entertainment, never as a source of income or a solution to money problems.
- Balance gambling with other activities — sport, family, friends and hobbies.
- Never gamble under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or when stressed, tired or upset.
- Take regular breaks. Step away from the screen at least once every hour.
- Know when to stop — and if you cannot, use the safer gambling tools or seek gambling help immediately.
Protection of Minors
Underage gambling is strictly prohibited. Pocket Pokies Casino is available exclusively to players aged 18 and over, and our mandatory KYC verification before the first withdrawal ensures that every account holder's age and identity are confirmed. Any account found to belong to a minor is closed immediately and all winnings are voided. This zero-tolerance stance is a fundamental part of responsible gambling and of the licence conditions we operate under.

Responsible Gambling FAQ
How do I set deposit limits at Pocket Pokies Casino?
Log in, open your account settings and select the Responsible Gambling section. Choose a daily, weekly or monthly deposit limit and confirm. Reductions apply instantly; increases take effect after a 24-hour delay to support gambling control.
What is the difference between a cooling-off period and self-exclusion?
A cooling-off period is a short break of 24 hours to 30 days. Self-exclusion is a long-term measure of 6 months to permanent closure that cannot be reversed before the term ends. Both are core Pocket Pokies Casino safer gambling tools.
Can I cancel my self-exclusion early?
No. Once self-exclusion is activated it remains in force for the full selected period. This firmness is intentional — it protects players struggling with gambling addiction from impulsive decisions.
